DDR have put together the two demos of Danish death metal mob Chaotian for a special release. This double-dose of filth should be utterly rancid. Hideous blasting drums and savage riffs dive into otherworldly gruesomeness with a macabre display of pure ferocity. Slow drudging doomy sections entwine with the faster sections to make a viscerally well-blended concoction of fetid grooves and eerie hooks, creeping through molten ichor with a revoltingly heavy monolith of extremity. Soaring through rotten instrumental assaults and gurgled vocals, there is no remorse on this record, delving into the subterranean guts of pure magnificent death metal brutality with unhinged guitars and relentless drums to accompany the bellowed growls of the vocalist. Brandishing a sound of malevolence and with a raw, raspy production to match, this release will totally annihilate anybody who dares listen to its odious tomes. Chaotian have a unique sound, blending bits from stomping death-doom grave-crawls with more vitriolic onslaughts that makes for a volatile sound, unpredictable and barbaric in all of its might. The strength of this material gives huge possibility for this band to grow from, these two demos hopefully being just the beginning, a damned fine beginning of putrid death metal excellence at that. Grooving, cutting and meaty throughout, there is not a moment that isn’t viciously marvellous with endless ideas of fantastically insane, festering assaults provided.
